Sinceopening a year ago, the cult hit show Avenue Q has been playing tohugely enthusiastic crowds and standing ovations, proving highlyaddictive with its legion of fans coming back to see it over and over!
The show is set in a mythical NYC block occupiedby an endearing, oddball collection of people; kooky Christmas Eve andhapless hubby Brian and puppets: sloppy Nicky, closeted Rod, lost soulPrinceton, lovelorn Kate, porn-happy Trekkie Monster, and bimbo-liciousLucy The Slut!
They swear like sailors, engage in kinky puppetcoitus, and even impart valuable and/or absurd life lessons. Thesefolks wouldn't be at home on Sesame Street -- heck, they wouldn't evenbe welcome on Sesame Street.
To call it a puppet show does it a disservice,Sesame Street for grown-ups isn't right either. There's no handy way todescribe Avenue Q except as the furriest, and one of the funniest, shows you're likely ever to see.
Avenue Q contains scenes which may be unsuitable for children under 12. Children under 5 are not admitted.
However, it is safe to say that if you are an adult with a good sense of humour, then Avenue Q is right up your
