Jimmy Buffett has certainly built himself an empire of music, books, videos, nightclubs and clothing lines, but it is his yearly concert tour that consistently lands Buffett on the Fortune magazine's list of highest earning entertainers.

Jimmy William Buffett was born December 25, 1946, in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital near Pascagoula, Mississippi, to parents James D. Buffett Jr. and Mary Loraine Buffett. The Buffett family soon moved to Mobile, Alabama, where Jimmy's father worked at the Alabama Dry Docks and Shipyard.

Kenny Chesney (born 26 March 1968 in Knoxville) is a country music singer, known for such works as No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems and When the Sun Goes Down. A handsome country singer-songwriter specializing in heartfelt ballads, Kenny Chesney has earned a reputation as a genial and hard-working traditional artist. In 1994, he made his debut for Capricorn Records with a self-titled collection that established him as a competent writer, though one lacking the unique qualities needed to make a bigger impression on the marketplace. Both All I Need To Know and Me And You, his two subsequent albums for BNA Records in the mid-90s, revealed steady progression, with the title track of the latter album performing well on country radio.

Roderick David Stewart, 10 January 1945, Highgate, London, England. Following a spellroaming Europe with folk artist Wizz Jones in the early 60s he returnedto join Jimmy Powell And The Five Dimensions in 1963. As word got out, he was attracted toLondon and was hired by Long John Baldry in his band the HoochieCoochie Men (formerly Cyril Davies' All Stars). Stewart had also servedtime with the 5 Dimensions before they recruited Jimmy Powell. Withoutsignificant success outside the club scene, the Baldry banddisintegrated and evolved into the Steampacket, with Baldry, Stewart,Brian Auger, Julie Driscoll, Mickey Waller and Rick Brown.

Nashville superstar Chely Wright's backing band members were so talented that they went out and started their own musical project, the fruit of which is Rascal Flatts. Where Wright tends toward the more twangy roots of country music, Rascal Flatts take the foundation of country songs and layer on R&B-inspired rhythms and pop-rooted harmonies.
